Get Involved in the Literacy Action Week Social Media Campaign!

1) Print one or all of the #LiteracyActionWeek posters in colour or black and white:

#LiteracyMatters to me because...

I think #literacy is important because...

Because I improved my #literacy and essential skills, now  I can...

2) Finish the sentences - For example, "I think #literacy is important because..."

3) Take a photo. Get a friend to take a picture of you holding the poster or take a selfie.

4) Post your photo on social media (Facebook, XInstagram, and LinkedIn) and make sure to @mention Literacy Nova Scotia in your post.

To do this, simply type the "@" symbol followed by LiteracyNovaScotia for Facebook and Instagram or Literacy_ns for X (formerly Twitter) and select us from the list that appears.

In your post, let us know which community learning organization you're from and include the hashtag #LiteracyActionWeek2023

An @mention on X (formerly Twitter)

Literacy Action Week (LAW) is celebrated the first full week of November each year.

LAW is the time when Literacy Nova Scotia and individuals and organizations who have an interest in supporting adult literacy share information with governments and the public about literacy and essential skills in their community.

Meetings with government officials at all levels, information sessions and other activities are held throughout the province.
